Beach & Carry-In Launch
This is primarily a public beach and swim area on the south shore of Lake Bellaire — sandy beach, marked swim area, shallow water extending a couple hundred yards out. Also serves as a carry-in launch for kayaks, canoes, and SUPs. No trailer ramp. 5 parking spots.
Also Called Miley's Beach
Locals know this as Miley's Beach or the Cottage Drive public access (6005-6506 Cottage Dr area). Sandy bottom, kid-friendly, a bit tucked away. The hill at the entrance drops quickly — watch your speed coming in.
Swimmer's Itch
Swimmer's itch has been reported on Lake Bellaire. Locals recommend coconut oil before going in as a preventive measure. Towel off quickly when getting out of the water.
