What to Expect
Bare-minimum access point. Gravel ramp, no dock, no restrooms, no facilities of any kind — just a road-end launch with riprap edging and a small gravel lot. If you're looking for facilities, this isn't it. If you're looking for free, ungated mid-lake access without the circus at the south end, this is your spot.
Finding It
This site doesn't appear on Google Maps as a boat launch. Use GPS coordinates or navigate to the end of Waring Road on the west shore. The sign is roadside but easy to miss.
Why Here
Mid-lake location on the west shore, roughly halfway between Eastport and Torch River Bridge. Free, no Recreation Passport required, and you'll likely have the place to yourself. Best for smaller boats and experienced launchers comfortable without a dock.
