Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Parking Hike
There's exactly one trailer spot and it's up a hill to the right of the ramp. If someone's already there, you're basically out of luck — no overflow, no shoulder parking worth mentioning. Get there early or have a Plan B.
Tiny Lake, Tiny Ramp
Single lane, single spot — this is a small-water launch for small boats, canoes, and kayaks. Don't bother trying to get anything over 16 feet down here. It matches the lake perfectly, but manage your expectations.
Half The Lake Closed
A big chunk of Section One Lake is closed off to boat traffic. Not entirely clear why, but it significantly limits where you can actually go. You'll figure it out quick once you're on the water — just don't plan on having the whole lake to explore.
No Wake Bass Fishing
This is a no-wake lake, so leave the big outboard at home. It's a quiet little gem loaded with bass. Perfect for an electric trolling motor and a few hours of casting without jet ski traffic buzzing past your ears.
