Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Parking Fills Fast
Only 18 trailer spots, and on summer weekends they go quick. If you're not there by 8 AM on a Saturday, you might be parking on the shoulder. Weekdays are a completely different story — you'll practically have the lot to yourself.
Amish Friendly Launch
This is one of the few launches with hitching posts installed, so don't be surprised to see horse-drawn rigs in the lot. Plan your parking and maneuvering accordingly — it's a shared space and things can get a little tight near the posts.
No Wake Lake
Wiggins has no-wake restrictions, so leave the speed boat at home. This is kayak and small fishing boat territory. The lake has some great little culverts and backwater areas worth exploring if you paddle past the main basin.
Ramp Is Solid
Single lane but well maintained with a decent dock. The grade is gentle and the depth at the end of the ramp is forgiving — you won't be grinding your trailer on the bottom. Easy in, easy out for boats up to about 18 feet.
Porta Potty Warning
There's a porta potty on site, but by midsummer it gets rough. Breathe through your mouth and do what you gotta do. The shaded picnic area nearby is nice, though — just set up upwind.
