Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Fresh Blacktop
They repaved the whole parking area not too long ago, so it's a big improvement over what it used to be. 35 trailer spots on smooth asphalt — a far cry from the gravel mess it was before.
Local Hotspot
This place draws a crowd. Bank anglers, kayakers, and boaters all converge here, especially on weekends. Get there early on summer mornings or you'll be jockeying for position at the ramp and along the shoreline.
Watch Your Feet
The bank fishing is popular enough that the ground is littered with lost hooks and line, especially near the picnic tables. If you're walking around in sandals or setting down gear, take a good look first.
Pack It In, Pack It Out
No trash cans on-site, and the outhouse situation is hit or miss — sometimes stocked, sometimes not. Bring your own bags and supplies. Nearest real services are a decent drive, though the Ford River Pub up the road is worth the stop.
River Meets Green Bay
The mouth opens right into Green Bay, so you get sheltered river launching with quick access to big water. Great staging point for kayak trips upstream or out into the bay. Views at sunset are genuinely stunning from the launch area.
