Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Tiny But Sufficient
Five trailer spots sounds tight, but Lake Emily doesn't draw crowds. I've never seen more than one or two other trailers here, even on summer Saturdays. You'll be fine.
Solid Little Ramp
For a single-lane launch on a smaller UP lake, it's surprisingly well-maintained. The pier is sturdy and the turnaround area is generous — no awkward 12-point turns even with a longer trailer.
State Park Access
This is administered by Bewabic State Park, so you'll want to have your Recreation Passport sorted before you go. The road in is straightforward, no confusing turnoffs.
Quiet Water Gem
Lake Emily is about as peaceful as it gets in Iron County. Low boat traffic, calm water, and you might catch wildlife along the banks. It's a great spot if you want a mellow day with a small boat or kayak rather than fighting weekend chaos on bigger lakes nearby.
