Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Neighborhood Launch
Small road-end park at the end of Kelly Avenue on the east shore. Less than 1 acre — single-lane paved ramp with rocks on one side and bollards on the other, sandy beach area, and day-use swimming. No dock, no restrooms, no facilities. Signs posted at the ramp.
No Parking
There is no parking lot or designated trailer parking — this is a road end. You back your trailer down to launch and then need to find street parking. Not practical for larger rigs. Best for smaller boats, PWCs, and paddlecraft where someone can drop and go.
Why Here
Free, no Recreation Passport required, and east shore access — which the three DNR launches don't offer. If you're staying on this side of the lake and have a smaller boat or PWC, Kelly Beach saves you the drive to the west or south shore.
