Ramp Quirks & Etiquette
Rough Approach Road
The road leading to the ramp is riddled with potholes — take it slow, especially with a loaded trailer. It's the kind of surface that'll rattle everything loose if you're not careful.
Single Lane Bottleneck
One lane only, so if a tournament rolls in with 15 boats, you're going to be waiting a while. For casual weekend launches, it's usually manageable, but show up early on summer Saturdays to avoid the backup.
Skid Pier Rebuilt 2024
The skid pier got a full refurbishment in 2024, so the dock situation is solid right now. Previous markings on the ramp have worn away, so depth gauging is more of a feel thing — back in carefully if you don't know the lake.
Small But Functional
25 trailer spots is enough for a quiet Washtenaw County lake most days, but it'll fill during any organized event. Being part of Pinckney State Rec Area means you need a valid Recreation Passport on your plate to avoid a ticket.
